We worked with a large government owned Utility with a large blue collar workforce to support the development of a performance culture and to strengthen engagement and accountability. We reviewed and recommended changes to their staff performance management scheme to align with a performance engagement approach. We designed and facilitated state wide management and staff workshops to educate on how to facilitate the revised performance engagement process and to identify areas of accountability for performance. We assisted in advising and negotiating with Union representatives on the changes desired. We ran a series of workshops on effective performance conversations skills to build engagement capability particularly of supervisors and managers. The result was a highly successful intervention which saw over 700 managers and staff engaged in workshops across the state. The revised performance scheme was successfully implemented and the education processes we conducted were regarded as one of the most successful ever conducted in the organisation.
